How To Market Artwork Online

In this article we'll look at several ways you can market your artwork online and get the most exposure for your portfolio website and artworks.

Social Media

Social media is a great driver for traffic and targeted users for artists.  EZZL.art automatically publishes each of your artworks on our social media channels through the following providers: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, & Pinterest.  Each of our social media posts will link directly back to your website and associated artwork page!

Here are a few tips you can use to market your artwork on your own social media channels:

  • Always post with an image (posts with images are much more likely to be viewed and visited)
  • Use hashtags (#artwork) for keywords for your artworks to help in searches
  • Post a new artwork at least every couple of weeks to keep your social channels fresh

There are a few automation services which can help with posting your content to social media channels on a routing basis.  Here are few standouts: Later (for instagram) Tweetdeck (for twitter) Buffer (for multiple platforms).  Also note that whenever you add a new artwork to your EZZL site, we'll advertise it on our social platforms on twitter, facebook and instagram for free!

Doing some keyword research for hastags as mentioned in our 3 bullets can go along way to increasing your visibility through search.  Here are a few popular artwork related hashtags: #artoftheday #creative #artwork #artists #inspiration #art #instaart #paintingoftheday #watercolour #WIP #customart #abstract #fineart #portrait
