I am a Colorado-based fiber artist deeply connected to the land and textile craftsmanship traditions. Drawing from both Eastern and Western techniques, I transform wool, silk, cotton, and tercel into contemporary tapestries that bridge cultural divides. My hands-on experience in animal husbandry and fiber processing informs my intricate, vibrant works, which invite introspection through rich textures and patterns. My art promotes unity and celebrates cultural diversity, offering a space for interconnectedness in today’s globalized world. I have exhibited in prestigious venues such as the 2023 International Fiber Arts XI and the American Tapestry Alliance Biennial 14, and earned Third Place at the 2022 Made in Virginia Juried Show at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. My work was also featured in the award-winning documentary Rivanna Weavers. Through my tapestries, I continue to explore fiber’s potential as a tool for artistic expression and cultural dialogue.
