The artist, Natalia, was born in Georgia and has lived in various places including Russia, Ukraine, Israel, and Sweden. Self-taught, Natalia later pursued courses in Moscow to study the techniques of Renaissance masters before attending art school in Sweden. Her work reflects a rich life experience, using colors and shapes to express her emotions, ideas, and philosophies. Some pieces are dedicated to nature and animals, inspired by the beauty of Sweden's landscapes. When not painting, Natalia enjoys exploring local forests and lakes. Grateful for the opportunity to share her art, she hopes her paintings will bring joy and inspire others to see the beauty in life.
“When I paint, I get inspired by the places I have been and their people with diverse identities and cultures- but most of all I am inspired by our shared humanity.” Graciela Placak, a Bay Area artist, was born in Madrid, Spain ande was influenced by her large family of artists. She has been painting since childhood. After studying Architecture and Fine Arts, she immigrated to Northern California in 1983. Since arriving here, her work has been featured in numerous one-woman shows and she has been commissioned to make specialized pieces including murals, mosaics, stained glass, and portraits for both commercial and private clients.
